Head Coach & General Manager


Frank Demasi

The Toronto native enters his 6th season with the Shield. Frank was the Head Coach  for the team from (2014-2018) amassing a coaching record of 111 – 45 – 12. Frank had been promoted to Team President for the 2018-19 season & will be back behind the bench this season!  Prior to his coaching days, Frank's professional hockey resume spanned 8 seasons in Europe. In 8 seasons of Professional hockey Frank won 6 Championships, and 3 league scoring titles, to go along with 2 Team MVP awards.  Before joining the Professional ranks, Frank attended Lake Forest College in Illinois where he played 4 seasons of hockey in the NCAA.  Frank’s experience, relationships, and contacts in college hockey in the USA and Europe play a huge part in giving our club an edge over others in the league to advancing players. Frank, his wife Megan and their sons Arthur & Joe make Muskoka their home.

Assistant Coach


Brent Baker

Brent is entering his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Shield.  Brent brings a wealth of hockey knowledge & experience to our club as he has coached many levels of hockey here in the Muskoka Minor Hockey System.  We are excited for the upcoming season as Brent will bring a new perspective to our Organization on and off the ice. Brent, his wife and 2 kids call Bracebirdge, Muskoka home.




George Becker

This is George's 10th season with the Shield.  A native of Muskoka, George ensures all our players are treated for any injuries and provides feedback and assistance in the rehabilitation process.    

Equipment Manager


Ryan Morgan

Ryan has a wealth of experience as an equipment manager.  Ryan grew up & played his minor hockey in Muskoka and we are happy that he is continuing to be involved in the hockey community as a member of our hockey club. This is Ryan's first season with our team.
